Mystery Glass Empty most awesome rooster ever!

Post  deborah Wed Apr 13, 2011 9:22 am

Hi Queen,

That is an incredible rooster!!!!!!!!!!!!! How big and heavy is it? Must weigh a ton! Re the others - have my ideas but am going to keep zipped to see how others feel!

Also love your Rapunzel avatar - that was such a cute movie. I have always wanted to wield a frying pan!

Hello Queenofth

The golden color carnival glass is called "Boutonniere" .The book I have says it was made by Millersburg".I also have one that has the stem and base in a clear but the bowl part in the carnival glass.

Mystery Glass Empty Thanks! but...

Post  queenoftheroad Wed Apr 13, 2011 2:50 pm

Those aren't the one's I was inquiring about!!!

The Smoke glass dish on the table is the one I was thinking about.

Curious?

I will post the signature on the bottom later on tonight when I get home.
Bob is right! (although wrong glass I'm talking about!) And the name was under the photo! Cheating!
That Millersburg is about 100 yrs old & beautiful irridescence.

Yes Deb...I was feeling the "Rapunzel" spirit! The rooster is heavy (amount unkown) no markings just relied on good old Ebay and internet for I.D.

TTYS!

The first one looks like Holmgard not sure of spelling. But it could be anything, have any other pictures? That rooster has some serious attitude.

Mystery Glass Empty Hey Deb! This one's for you!

Post  queenoftheroad Wed Apr 13, 2011 4:47 pm

I picked this one up at the good old "V.V. Boutique" (Value Village) for next to nothing.
I fell in love with it after I saw one similar on your site.

Although unmarked, I PRESUME it's Chalet...(2 pics attached)...
again my pics aren't as great as yours (taken in the dark!)

Mystery Glass Empty I am so jealous!

Post  deborah Wed Apr 13, 2011 5:44 pm

Hey,
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous and just drop dead amazing! I wish I had had it here for the photo shoot - I did a shot of 4 and this would have been the icing on the cake!

Yes - definitely Chalet and so nice. I have a deep olive green one, a gold one and an orange one and I borrowed a cranberry and green one - Glassman has a pure cranberry in his pics (also makes me drool)!

I NEVER EVER have luck at VV - once I found a piece of Chalet there and just about died of shock!

Congratulations - super find! Lovely just lovely - am going to go look at it again. If you ever see another - think of me!
