Hello fellow members. Can anyone tell me if the clear/crystal sailboat is a hard to find shape. I picked up a few more chalet animals last week-end but haven't taken the pics yet. My friend takes the pics and he's been busy.

Deb do you collect BMP also or do I have you mixed up with another seller. If you decide to ever do a show about Chalet glass out this way I hope you look me up.
Another of my passions is collecting vintage rhinestone jewelry, mainly Sherman about 3 apple boxes full of Sherman so far plus a bunch of other makers.I have 3 china cabinets full of glass n pottery stuff both antique and vintage.
well have a good day everyone

chalet glass sailboat. Empty sailboats

Hi Bob,

Yes the sailboat is pretty rare. I have 3 - a small one marked with the Chalet lead Crystal label, a medium one that is unmarked and and a large one marked with the N.C. Cameron label. So far no etched signatures. I also have had 2 Rossi - an unmarked pale blue and a set (small, medium and larger) of marked cranberry sailboats. Chalet did not do production run coloured sailboats. We were told that they were a tribute to Cornwall (as was the hollow crystal MacIntosh apple) and the St. Lawrence River! Did you come across one?

My small one is on the site and the others are being shot tomorrow separately and then together. then I will be listing them as well. Nope - stricly a Chalet girl. Although I do have some Lorraine in my personal collection and on e-bay. Darlene posts here, is a friend and fellow Chalet lover and sells bmp.

Re another show - never say never with Chalet!LOL Where are you located?

Deborah

Hi Bob,

The I would have to do a show in the summer - neither the glass or I could take your winters!

The sailboat you describe is the same height as my medium sized one (N.C. Cameron sticker) and the largest (unmarked) sized of my trio is 10" to the tip of the sail with smallest (Chalet lead crystal label) being just slightly over 4". Obviously bought them in 3 different places and at 3 different times - what are the odds to get staggered heights like that when separate purchases! Such a bonus!

As they are gorgeous together as a set - that is one of the shots I am having done today.

They were done for Riekes and Cameron. I have a picture of them in the ad Chalet sent out announcing they had obtained them as distributors. The Chalet crystal label another mismarkLOL - I love getting those. I have a bridal basket which is signed Chantili and stickered Chalet - the Chantili the mismark - rather a labour intensive one!

What marking does your sailboat have?

Will post a pic here when I get it - will have to wait until it's edited probably or maybe can get a rough one form the shoot.

chalet glass sailboat. Empty picture of sailboat set of 3

Post  deborah Sun Apr 10, 2011 1:26 pm

Hi again,

As promised - here is the sailboat set. They were not purchased together but are the 3 different heights. One is listed on the site as I have had it for longer than the others and so it was photographed way back when. This picture is from the new photo shoot which wrapped on Friday.

I am unsure to whether I should sell as set of separately or give people the option?

Love my new photographer - stunning picture!
