Could this be Chalet glass? Empty Welcome and EDAG

Post  deborah Fri Mar 09, 2012 3:37 pm

Hi Alicia D,

Welcome to the forum.

The bird centerpiece on Kijiji is by EDAG - a "similar yet different" Italian Canadian glass house that was also in Montreal during the Chalet era. They actually were in business for a few years after Chalet's closing. See pages on the the site re other glasshouses and the Chalet Marks Labels and Product Lines reference guide for more information.

That is a great piece - terrific colour. EDAG used that green alot.

Could this be Chalet glass? Empty not surprising

Post  deborah Fri Mar 09, 2012 9:21 pm

hi again,

Not surprising - Murano artists all worked at Chalet, Lorraine and EDAG (sometimes an artist worked at all 3) so it would be surprising if there wasn't confusion.
