new pieces and new pics
Hey everyone,
Getting pictures back from last photo shoot and thought should share some great grouping shots. Some of my favorite pieces.
In this grouping of Chalet "butterflies", check out the coloured base. I have only one other piece with a coloured base and have never seen another. It too is this very pale icy blue colour. Signed. Anyone else got a coloured base piece that you know is Chalet by signature, sticker......?

Love "fingertips". My Mom has one in the deep aqua blue but did not use it for the shot.

Hope everyone enjoying the long weekend and finding lots of Chalet Easter goodies.

Deb's new pieces
Hi Deborah,
I LOVE the deep red coloured finger tip vase. I'm "trying" to stick to just vases as I don't have space for the long arm ones. I bought 2 pieces this week-end, the orange twist(?) 12 inch vase even though I already have one it may be good for trading somewhere along the way. and the opposite one to the cranberry trimmed swan. Now I just have to hope that it is the right size to go with my swan, LOL. I always seem to jump on it first THEN think about it later.
Did Chalet use that type of base that is on the "butterfly" pieces on other pieces also? I've seen a piece with that type of base but never bought it because I've never seen that base. Do you know if other companies used that base also?Guess I really should look in the books I bought from you more often, LOL.
Have a good day
Bob

Chalet and EDAG
Hey Bob,
Yeah - Chalet used this base a lot. I like it - very elegant on the smaller pieces and seems to hold up well re wear. EDAG used a similar. Yes - read the booksLOL But I will post a picture here of a Chalet piece and an EDAG piece with similar bases. Won't tell you which is which for now:)

Pretty much identical - given this, in the first picture, who made what?

Chalet or EDAG
HMMMM.....
I'm going with the blue as EDAG and the orange as Chalet. I have seen one with the same base as the orange one but has the holes pierced in it in two colours of glass. I always thought it may be European.

correct
Hi guys,
Blue Chalet and orange EDAG. Love to see a picture of your mother-in-law's piece. These "butterfly" pieces are often marked with the Chantili etching.
Here is a picture of the 2 coloured base pieces together.
