New in my collection - Yellow vase
Hi there,
Bought this nice yellow vase today, with no markings. Is this maybe a Lorraine piece?
What do you think, isn't this a nice item ?
Regards,
Olaf

EDAG pieces are wonderful 99% of the time and then you shake your head over the last 1%. I have quite a few of their pieces and love them.

Hi deborah,
Oh wow, that is so neat... 3 pieces. Now I really would like to have more of those in my collection, gorgeous.
I especially like the bright green one, nice!

another EDAG lime green but with round signature base
Hi again,
This "penny round" base is another EDAG signature base and found as often on their vases as their footed bases. This 14" version is quite a bit bigger than the footed one in the pictures above - too big for my display shelf (I designed my laundry room around that lime green one aboveLOL) so it is an inventory piece.

Here it is shown with a "twisted tips" stretch centerpiece - both this vase and centerpiece are ALWAYS misattributed as being Chalet - as is the ashtray with them. All EDAG and you will have seen this style on e-bay but as Chalet.

my other laundry room piece
Hey,
Forgot I had this pic too - I have the lime green in a "mini" twisted tips centerpiece. It and the vase and an orange Chalet piece are in my laundry room. I found a very funky orange and green retro tile after finding these pieces and totally redid the plans I had for a boring laundry room over (I am an interior designer in my "non"Chalet life). Love love love the lime and Chalet could not get this colour right for their big pieces but you do see it in their hand-moulded pieces. When I asked the artists "Why" - they had no answer as Maestro Pagnin (Chalet owner, chemist and master glass blower) did not discuss or share his colours and recipes with anyone. The amber ashtray here is a signed Chalet "twisted nubs" piece - again showing how closely all these glass houses watched each other's products.
