Chalet?
I'd love for it to be chalet but that color in the front is really deep for chalet. It almost looks like there's 3 colors mixed. Did Deborah chime in if it is Chalet? I love it...beautiful.

Seal
Yes the amber is dark, then lighter so it looks like 3 colours. It was hard to get a good picture of.It's so simalar to the one on ebay that i think it is Chalet.I wish it was Lorraine though.

me too re Chalet
Hi guys,
I have never seen a signed seal (not sure if Lorraine made one) but I do think Glassman's is Chalet - colour and from what I can make out on the catalogue pages right shape. Unfortunately the catalogue pages I got from Corning are from a microfiche and some of the shapes didn't come through as clearly as the others. But for sure Chalet made a seal and the pose is definitely right. Identical to the one on e-bay which I also feel is Chalet although it too not marked- but that seller terrific re listings, id's (although have seen a few mistakes but not that many) and glass that they have. Plus they have a whole series of marked Chalet animals- interesting that they have so many and some very scarce (wolf, rabbit). They probably would have both had the Canadiana Wildlife hang tag originally.
I love this dark olive with the blue - like it better than the more typical blue and bright green. There have been some really cool colour mixes in e-bay animal listings lately. Love to see those - non-production and using up leftover colour.
Great piece Glassman! And great postings Queen - nice to see you back!
Deborah
P.S. I have that colour mix in quite a few signed Chalet animals and have seen it in signed Chalet pieces as well - one on e-bay right now. Had a miniature stretch in this colour and there was a signed stretch from another collector at the exhibit. Hey Queen - your avatar bird is Chalet and in this colour combo too right? Also a great piece and likely done by Bruno Panizzon as he did alot of animals and alot of this bird.

Why yes...It's Chalet!
Deborah...
I am very proud to say I love my bird and yes it is Chalet!

Before I buy things, I try to look them up on the internet via my iPhone (I love that thing!)
so I can make a wise decision about it and the value, etc.
However, before you came along with this site and the book and the show in Cornwall, there wasn't much info available about Chalet.
I had NO CLUE about it until I started doing more research and located you and your blogs. Then I was hooked!
Thank you for your valuable knowledge. I look forward to the postings here and wish more people get the same knowledge I did.

Chalet seal
I have a seal that I think is Chalet also. It is the usual blue and green cased in clear glass. I'm now up to 15 different shaped animals plus the 3 modernist style angel fish.(like the 15 "one on ebay right now)I found that most animals don't seem to be signed.

sloth
Hey Glassman,
That was a hoot! I had an instant image of it in that olive and blue comboLOL
When setting up the exhibit Antonio Tedesco showed me a sloth that was blue and filled with silver. It was crazy looking. And obviously not a production pieceLOL

Sea Lion
We have one of these, I don't recall if it's signed, but I always thought it was a sea lion, based on the mouth shape.
