Hi everyone,

Was in Toronto this weekend and came across a signed Chalet fazoletto vase - biggest one I have ever seen. 12 inches in diameter and 13 inches to the highest fold. Alsolutely mammoth! Had no idea that they were ever this large.Got a couple of pics on phone.

Stunning showcase piece for a collection.

I bought one just like it when I was picking up an Ebay win on August 20th. Too bad mine is not signed.

Hey,

Is yours the same size? I can never tell with e-bay pics - have got some wonderful surprises that way re size. If it is - massive eh. You must have had to clear quite a bit of room for it to show properly.

Measured it yesterday, it is the same size. Unsigned. Haven't really chosen a spot yet.

Monster of a fazoletto vase Empty unusual base

Post  deborah Sat Sep 03, 2011 10:15 pm

Hi,

Could you take a picture of the base - very different. Thanks - love to see it up close. Your vase is beautifully coloured! The "hankerchief folds" look very crisp. Lovely piece.

Thank you,
I had to make a choice that day, and this was most striking. "Expensive Habit.!!"

Pictures of the base.

Monster of a fazoletto vase Empty base has me puzzled

Post  deborah Sun Sep 04, 2011 9:26 am

Hi again,

The base on this piece has me stumped - I have never seen this type of base on a Chalet fazoletto. Does anyone else have a base like this? The colours are so Chalet but the base "Never say Never"LOL
