How do I post pictures on this forum?
Hello to all the members!
This past weekend I bought a piece of Chalet Art glass at a local flea market. I know that it is Chalet glass because it is acid etched stamped on the bottom. I searched this site but I could not find any example of him.
So I wrote to the person who runs this site and she told me it is the first time she has ever seen such a piece.
He is a lovely little owl done Sommerso style and has been given the name of little "buddha" owl. I know that it is hard to believe but he seems to be one of a kind!
I would like to post some pictures of him here but I do not know how to do so. So if anyone can give me helpful information on how to do so, it would be greatly appreciated. Then perhaps we will see if he is truly one of a kind or perhaps an other collector has one as well. I will post my pictures as soon as i learn how to.

Hi there,
Welcome - glad to see you are going to post the owl.
Put your mouse over the symbols above until you hit "Host an Image". Click on it and select "File" (not url) and choose the pic size for forums. Hit the "Browse" button and select your picture and then hit the "Host It" button. Then you copy it over to the topic box. Or you can post offsite and direct people to that album.
Hope to get some more feedback re the owl - be interesting to see if anyone else has that figure with that color combo and that shape - maybe an end of day piece!
Good luck re posting - it seems complicated but after first time gets routine.

Well after a great deal of trial & error, I believe this link should work:

Re: How do I post pictures on this forum?
I should mention that this owl was very hard to picture properly because due to the "blob" feature of his shape, it creates some sort of optical effect and it makes him appear very strange.
In real life he is extremely attractive and his colors are not so blended but stay on their respective sides.
So tell me ... do you have a mate to my little friend? Or is he truly one of a kind? The mystery deepens now!

mate
Hi again,
Now that I am home and have access to my pics - can show you the owls I spoke of.
The first one is the owl with the gold flecks and bubbles. It is signed Chalet Canada. It is the shape similar to yours.

This owl is the typical owl figurine that is commonly seen. I have it in cristallo (2) and another one coloured just like this. One of the clear crystal ones is marked with the N. C. Cameron sticker and the other with the Chalet Lead crystal sticker. One of the blue and amber ones is marked Chalet Canada and the other has the Chantili sticker.

Very interested to see if more owls like yours out there!

Thank you for your reply. Would it be possible for you to post a picture of your owl?
That would be verymuch appreciated!

Flyboy,
I think the reason Mario posted your picture is that he was simply showing you how to do it. He got the location of the photo from the link you provided. You were asking for help.

Hi Flyboy,
I agree with Trog - Mario was simply trying to help and given that you had posted your pics out on the Web, no one could imagine that you would be offended by that help. I think that you have overreacted here and I hope in the future that you take into consideration that this forum is for Chalet collectors to share knowledge in a collegial manner.
Moroever, if you have an issue - you can always contact me privately and directly.

Flyboy,
I do not have any of your images. I posted the correct link to the original link you posted. You can see it no longer appears in my post as you most likely moved or deleted it.
Your post title is "How do I post pictures......"
I was only trying to help.
