Chunk of melted/ exploded glass ??

Hi everyone we all like glass so I thought I would post this piece of glass I got yesterday. Its its a bunch of glass melted together some shape edges with sand on the exterior. I don't know how it was made, the lady who sold it to me said people burry glass on a beach with a lighting rod and this happens????
Any one have any ideas or anyone seen stuff like it ?
I contacted Steve Tobin he does not think it is his
