a sampling of Chalet candleholders and candlesticks
Hi everyone,
This past week not only brought about seeing new Chalet lamps and wine bottles but new styles of candle holders. And I was able to reduce my "Chalet envy" in that area as well with the acquisition of a stunning olive green sommerso set. The pictures used here from e-bay sellers pacific-coast-trade (the Riekes molded) and 4add2urcollection (the amber sommerso set) are used with their very generous permission and I thank them for sharing.
Although the small molded shells, swans and baskets were used in Montreal as bomboniere, Riekes Crisa and N.C. Cameron marketed tham as candleholders. I can't get the catalogue I have showing this to scan so that a good image is available without dismantling it so will try taking it to Staples and seeing if I can photocopy it wide angle and then scan from it. Until then - just picture those small pieces with candles as well. I am sure alot of them cracked from heat as there is very little room for a candle to burn without heating the glass to breaking point.
