textured glass?

this week, along with an amber twist vase, i purchased another unmarked "spike and curl". a few questions came to mind with this piece...which companies made this shape?
which company made this? the valley of the spiked and curls have an orange peel texture...was this intentional?
was it specific to a certain company?

Hi there,

You will find "spike and curls" by the "big 3" - have never seen a Mosaic piece like this (so few of those around) and to my knowledge Rossi did not do this shape. Lorraine, EDAG and Chalet - very commonly did.

This particular piece is a Lorraine piece. The textured glass along the sides is from the finishing process (Chalet used pear wood so this wouldn't happen) and is a lorraine "tell".

thanks for information...im looking forward to revisiting my collection with this knowledge in mind id like to find its Chalet twin to do a compare/contrast of my own ....any excuse to buy another piece.
