Hi Mathew,

Checked out your Flickr pages - great pics.

Your green cat is probably Lorraine, the amber ashtrays - left is EDAG and right Chalet, that is the Chalet wolf, still envying you those avventurria bears, great irradato swans....

My Flickr Page - Collection Empty IMG 0156

Post  queenoftheroad Sun Nov 27, 2011 2:01 am

Wow...lots of glass! Nice!
I have a question though...img_0156 - I hate to say it but the arms close together look like they might have been "clipped". I just mentioned about a purple one like that where one arm was broken and how to fix it without compromising the piece. I wouldn't have noticed except the arm glass is solid color and the arms also have squared edges, missing the clear glass and rounded "pull" marks. Please correct me if I am wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

My Flickr Page - Collection Empty Chipped

Nice collection.I noticed number 154 the long arm is broken and ground down at the end. Also number 156 is the same but on both sides. This is something i stay away from.I've had a few pieces over the years that were broken and repaired,i know now how to tell the difference. You really have to watch for this on Ebay,i see it a lot.
Also QUEEN was asking about repairing a piece,i wouldn't bother it would have to be ground down and would still look broken. To me broken or damaged has zero value. However if you really love it and wanted to you could find a glass shop that would do it for you.I bet it would be cheep too.
