Edag sticker

Hi there... I have two stickered pieces that look like Chalet pieces but they have a Edag black and gold sticker on them..How would i gain info on these pieces and are they Chalet?
Any help would be Great ...Thank you..

Hi Hopewell,

Your EDAG pieces are not Chalet - EDAG was a Montreal glasshouse of the same era. There is a reference publication available through the site called Chalet Marks, Labels and Product Lines that has pics etc re Chalet brandings and some additional re the competition in Canada during the same time. Also check out the pages on the site re Chalet marks.

Hi again,

EDAG is the name made by the initials of the family who were the owners/glassblowers of the company - it was a family concern, 2 brothers, mother and stepfather.

Thank you for your help with this... It has been a mystery to me since i bought my first stickered EDAG piece.. Then i found another and had to have it..Do you know where i could get an idea to a value to these stickered pieces..A ball park would be great.. Thank you again for all your help.

I had never heard of Edag,untill i saw some in Glassmans pictures.Maybe you could ask him what he paid for his.I too would like to know the value of my glass.I hope i havn't paid too much.

Here is one i think is Edag i also have more on my flickr page.This is a really cool shape.As far as value goes i'd say it's worth what you paid.Could be worth more to some or less to others no real hard value i don't think.
