incredible "fingertip" ashtray
Hi guys,
When I was out and about last week I came across this very rare ashtray. I did not recognize it as Chalet - thank goodness the store had marked in clearly. What is even more bizarre is that I actually have this piece, although a bit smaller, in amber. Must be because it's blue:) Anyways, I find it very interesting that we see the fingertip vases and centerpieces quite often but never these ashtrays - I know of one other than mine and this one. Any one else got this? Either Chalet did very few of them or because of their purpose, breakage was extremely high. Probably a combination of both. Here it is and the last pic is mine with some of my fingertip centerpieces.

I wish I did blue - I love my amber but now that I have seen this one, I think the style is really set off better by the brighter colour. Quest on to find in orange - although olive green might look pretty great too.

can't wait to see
Hi Pierre,
Love to see it! I love my little amber but think it will look the best in the brighter more saturated colours. Funny - each of the 4 known is a different colour. Gold, blue, emerald and now orange. Wonder if each had a "run" or end of day production. Colour differences and rareness indicates latter. We will see if more start turning up.
