mystery of "that other maple leaf" solved

Hi everyone,

I was in Cornwall a few weeks ago seeing a collector there and one of his pieces was that "maple leaf" that is always miscalled Chalet. Well - this one had a sticker. And it's Mosaic! And it was a really nicely done piece of glass.

Well - this leaf really reminds me of a signed Chalet piece on chalet collector's flickr pages so I got her permission to show it here for comparison. What do you guys think? I bet Maestro Gatto did both - one at Mosaic and then one when he went to Chalet.

You can see the exact same features and techniques were used in making either piece. Very interesting! When I first saw this piece, I didn't think it was Chalet at all and that someone mislabelled it. But when I saw the signature, I was absolutely mystified.
