Reference guide progress
Hey everyone,
Spent Thursday evening on reference guide with my layout guy. All corrections made and layout finished. He just wants to clean up and re-organize Table of Contents and then we are good to go re edits for typos etc. That means we will be getting printed drafts. The only thing left to do is the Index which cannot be done until we see first printed draft as need final page numbers so we can have the Index info absolutely correct.
Looks like 100 pages and have not done a final picture count but OMG - would not be surprised if over 225. There are also historical pictures which I have never used before, a page of original Chantili advertising, original pricing provided by Chalet artist Gianfranco Guarniere and a separate section on "Canada Art" - I am perhaps the most excited by the info here! The "Similar yet Different" quiz in this edition has 27 groupings.
I keep saying it but true - we have learned alot since 2010! I hope the next few years prove as interesting. Can't give you any sneak peeks as the only copy I have right now is in a PDF and I can't copy it over. But will asap. Thanks for your patience!

Re: Reference guide progress
Sounds like A lot of love and hard work has gone into the Guide. Will you be posting it here? or is it for purchase?
I hope I find my way here again.

The book
Hi Deb,
CONGRATULATIONS............
I fingured when I didn't see many comments from you on here that you were deeeeeep into the last steps of the book. I can't wait. After talking to you the last time about the pear I had seen and asked for a pic of one you had so I could compare, it turned out that the one I saw was not a Chalet piece. I ended up going to a flea market in another town one week-end and ended up finding both a pear and a peach in the orange color. I ended up buying 5 pieces of Chalet glass that day. LOL
I think as soon as the book is done you should sit back ,relax and have a wobbley pop......LOL.

fantastic new pics
Hi Bob,
If I had a Chalet wine bottle - I'd fill it up and then empty itLOL Your new acquisitions are gorgeous. Love the set - beautiful colours. I have not been out and about very much lately so will be able to get doing that again soon hopefully. I want to head West instead of East for a change - see what is new and interesting. Ya never know, that wine bottle might be waiting for me. Right next to a set of signed candleholders which would be right next to .........
