a picture from Glassman - a Chalet "second"

Hi everyone,

Glassman asked me to post this pic from his Flickr page (he is also loaning the use of it to the new reference guide revisions as there will be a section on Chalet seconds)-he is having trouble loading from his iphone. This gorgeous piece probably started out life as a basket. Anyone else out there have some unusaul pieces that if you look at them you can see their roots as something else? Glassman suggested that chaletcollector's "cloud" piece maybe started out as a cigar bowl - I think he could be right.

I have a piece that you can tell started out as a "spike and curl" and a "blind" Chalet whale figurine - they will be in the new guide. Take a look. Some very cool pieces aren't maybe what you think they are.
