New Acquisition - Possibly Chalet?
I recently acquired this lovely little dish. The blue colour is so nice, I don't think the pictures do it justice. Any thoughts on the origin?
(PS - I hope this works as I seem to have trouble posting on this site and providing the Flicker link! Apparently my shopping skills aren't up to par with my computer skills.)

Murano
I'd say that's Murano. Based mostly on the shape and colour.I have some nice murano pieces in my collection too. Good find.

Thank you! It was a good find - $12!! Is that Murano with a capital M? :-) I mean, when you say Murano is that specific to the region? There wasn't a specific company called Murano, was there?

great book on Murano
Hi JP,
Murano is usually used as a catch all for the glass made in the islands in the lagoons of Venice and their subsequent export colonies (eg South America). There is great book on Murano, recommended to me by Mario Panizzon, called "Murano Magic" by Carl I Gable. I got a fabulous used copy from Amazon and it helped me understand Chalet's roots better as well as clarifying the history and makers of Venetion glass in a really easy to read way for a non-Murano collector. And I must say it was veryyyyyyyyyy easy on the eyes!
