Unusual color
Hi all. I found this piece a few weeks back, and it has an aquamarine type of color unlike any Chalet I have ever seen. It is a signed Chalet piece. Comments?...............cheers....Roy

Welcome
Hi Roy,
Welcome and glad to see you got your picture posting problem solved!Love this colour - see it quite a bit but certainly no where as often as the deep blue that Chalet typically used. Have never seen it used in the animals - that would be gorgeous. Beautiful piece!

Nice colour
That colour is much more common in Lorraine pieces, however i've had it in Chalet before too. I would say it's definatley less common, but not rare.I bet it glows, have you tried it under a black light?

Re: Unusual color
The day I bought it, I went to a club that was black lit. I went out and brought it in, and nothing......unless I need to hold it close?

Hello
No i think you would need to put it close to the black light. The ones called solar tube work best.Nice find.

Thanks glassman.
I wasn't that thrilled when I bought it, just got it for the color, but it is growing on me for sure.

Re: Unusual color
That is very nice. I browsed your collection....very impressive. How long have you been at it? I just started about three months ago, but my brother in law collected a bit a few years back, so I have been aware of Chalet esp for some time.

Re: Unusual color
I am smiling because that was spoken like you knew me. I tend to go overboard. 12 pieces in 3 months...I can't keep up that pace.
Cheers

Trust me
Don't do it lol they are hard to store and even harder to get rid of.chalet is popular in small circles only, look at how long pieces sit on eBay ,months sometimes years lol.Pick a theme sighnef ones or colour whatever it is you like the most and go with it.For me it's shape I like the unusual ones then colour is second.I used to buy anything that was a good deal huge mistake I tell you, don't do it!!!!!!!!

Only 8 exclamation marks? You must not be serious :-). I do hear you bro. Display space is already an issue. Trouble is I like most of the colors and a lot of the shapes....sigh. I will figure it out. Thanks again for the input.
