EDAG
Hi Glassman,
that particular piece is by EDAG - I own about 7 of their pieces. EDAG was an Italian Canadian glasshouse based in Montreal at the same time as Chalet. They were a small family operation and some of the artists from Murano worked there as well as at Lorraine and Chalet. They did quite a wide range of glass and very influenced by Chalet.
However, that base is not limited to EDAG. Chalet also used it - I have s8igned Chantili and Chalet pieces with it so don't assume everything with that base is from the same company.

not sure - need more help from others
Hi Glassman,
I am not sure - I have that exact piece in red orange and have always hoped/assumed it was Chalet as I have this one, slightly different but so similar, that is signed Chalet. This particular piece is absolutely amazing - only 15 inches long but over 9 pounds! One of the nicest pieces of glass I have ever seen. Might make me a blue collectorLOL

Mario - any clarification here from the catalogs?

edag
I'm talking moreabout the clear little pulls that come out from the side of the base. The 5 I have are all the same in that way.ALso the pulls are uneven and the glass seems chukier than chalet. The one you put the picture up of is awesome.

another base that is similar/identical
Hey,

These are also like that pull of crystal at the side. An unsigned and signed Chantili.
EDAG pieces really vary in quality between glass and crystal - a couple I have seen are gorgeous crystal and alot of chunky, clunky glass.
