CLEAR CHALET UNSIGNED PIECE Empty can you post a pic please

Post  deborah Mon Feb 17, 2014 11:41 pm

Hi there,

Can you post a picture for us please. Chalet didn't do a lot of the big heavy crystal pieces without colour so need to see yours in order to help.

Thanks! And welcome.

CLEAR CHALET UNSIGNED PIECE Empty Chalet

Post  deborah Wed Feb 19, 2014 8:56 pm

Hi again,

Yes - definitely a Chalet piece. Large crystal pieces are not that common - the crystal lines were made for Chalet's distributors Riekes Crisa.Neither of my Riekes catalogues have this piece featured. Does not mean that it was not a production piece made for them but just not in the years that my catalogues show. Another possibility is that these baskets were done at end of day to use up remaining materials. Crystal vases were made for Riekes by Chalet. Here are 2 that you can see every now and then:

Both of theses pieces have the Riekes Chalet label but again, neither are featured in the catalogues that I have. They both also have "prunt" features. The taller vase has Sergio Pagnin's signature face prunts but the smaller vase have prunts that I have never seen anywhere else before - just circular adornments.

CLEAR CHALET UNSIGNED PIECE Empty may be a second

Post  deborah Thu Feb 20, 2014 9:48 am

hi again,

No problem - taking a closer look at your basket, I think it may be a "second" (which is very cool) as the arms droop where the arch meets. Compare it to the other and you will see what I mean. Chalet sold seconds from their factory or shipped unmarked ones off to be sold by distributors.
