By using Controlled does not mean I know glass terms. Another forum suggested this may be Murano. It is not marked.
The color is wonderful yellow. It weighs 1 lb 10 ounces. About 6.5 inches across and 2 inches high.It has lots of curliques and then two wider spouts? and the one large one.

Thanks so much for the time on the red ashtray Deborah! Wink After you said the red one was an ashtray I thought maybe this one is also, but the differences in the curliques on this ? don't know what else they may be called?
Also if this is Murano or perhaps Chalet also since I purchased both at the same time same place. Stunning yellow What?Who? Controlled bubbles YellowGLASSdishCHALETforum1

Stunning yellow What?Who? Controlled bubbles Empty Welcome!

Post  deborah Fri Mar 02, 2012 1:42 pm

Hi there,

Welcome to the forum! Excellent re uploads - took me forever to figure out!

This is another ashtray - a 4 butt again. You can call the curliques 'pulls" - just a difference in style. this is Murano. Chalet did not do yellow and they only did "bullicante" (controlled bubbles) in a few of their animal figurines.

Great piece - love the colour. Have you tried a UV light on it. May really floresce.

Stunning yellow What?Who? Controlled bubbles Empty found a marked Chalet bullicante ashtray

Post  deborah Mon Mar 26, 2012 12:49 pm

Hi again,

I should know better by now than to say "Chalet did not do............"LOL After all, the last section in my book is titled "Never say Never" Anyways, I just got a marked Chalet bullicante ashtray in Cornwall. The marking is a label not an etching but I do believe it is genuine as I have an etched ashtray that is very, very similar. I will post a pic shortly - I am having a professional photo shoot this Saturday and will get the 2 pieces shot together. Sorry about the misinformation - I think, however, safe to say "Chalet very, very rarely did bullicante except in their larger animal figurines".

I've actually had two etched Chalet ash trays with bubbles. Both were a dark amber colour.

Stunning yellow What?Who? Controlled bubbles Empty awesome

Hey Glassman,

That's fantastic re the etched id on the pieces you have had - like I said, I'm positive that this ashtray's label is genuine (I was tricked once before) and will post picture as soon as I have it but nice to hear that you have seen etched! Appreciate the id input. The bullicante ashtray I have is an orangey amber - variation of 3 clover shape with flat bottom.

Sound the same as the ones I had. They were in poor shape so I sold them.

Stunning yellow What?Who? Controlled bubbles Empty pics as promised

Post  deborah Mon Apr 16, 2012 9:07 pm

Hi again,

Pics starting to come in from recent photo shoot and the Chalet bullicante ashtray was in the first go.

It is 2 lbs 5 ounces, 2.5 inches in height and 6.5 inches in diameter. It is marked with the Chalet "Lead Crystal" label and I got it in Cornwall.

Second picture is showing it with a very similar ashtray that is not bullicnate. The non-bullicante piece is 1 lb 7 ounces, 3 inches in height and 5.5 inches in diameter. It is etched Chalet Canada. Both very similar to Murano pieces.

Thank you Deborah! Amazing that I finally found my way back here to thank you! Very Happy the consensus is my yellow bowl is Murano?
I Still have to check it with the UV light.
