AAAAAAAAAAAAAMAZING some of your pieces that red bridal basket is different too the handle is all twisted and that RED BUTTERFLY SPLASH love and the PINK and WHITE ELEPHANTS

We've been collecting for many years.
We really think the little white elephant is a treasure- I've never seen any other Chalet that colour, and it is etched!
As for the cranberry elephant, it's tail was broken off in transit.

I had one like that in olive green. It was signed Chalet.

Hey Glassman,

I had another one of these styled vases years ago in a weird cranberry/peach (hideous colour but still great shape) but it wasn't signed. I got it in Cornwall though and it just seemed so "Chalet". To me - just more evidence re my theory Canada Art/Chalet. Should do the home page slideshow one time in this - thoughts?

Be interesting to see what all you guys think when the new book comes out - final layout finished by the way and Index being compiled to help make refencing easier (langhaugh's great suggestion). Will be goin to draft printing for edits very soon.

That's a Murano piece.

Thanks, Glassman- we were pretty sure it wasn't Chalet, but it was purchased just because we loved the feel of it.

I have lots of Murano, the colors are nice in the vase.

Hi Brenda,

Pleased to hear that your piece is signed - just another example of finding Canada Art marked pieces that match pieces of signed Chalet.

i had a talk with Vivian Guaraniere on the weekend and spoke to her about them - she said it is not out of the question that Chalet might have even done that marking themselves in the very early days. She said Tony or Angelo Tedesco both did etching so perhaps they were doing something.

At any rate - I think that we have pretty conclusive evidnece that "Canada Art" was not another glass house but these pieces are Chalet. Now we just have to figure out if they were marked by a boutique, a collector or Chalet. Maybe the artists can tell us something more.
