Hi everyone,

My layout guy delivered the first draft of the 2012 "Chalet Marks, Labels and Product Lines" today - definitely has moved into book territory from a "guide". I cannot give you a definte page or picture count as of yet as there are some changes to be made. IBut it is very substantial!

I can tell you it's gorgeous and I am really pleased already with both the presentation and the function of the book. Not to mention the contentLOL

Shouldn't be too much longer - sorry for the delays but am coming to accept that the creative process is slower after it leaves your control than the other way around - I guess though that non-fiction does not have to take into account writer's block.

Will keep you apprised of progress and estimated delivery date once it goes to final edits and printing.

Hi Deb,
I can't wait to see the new book. We all know that good things take time. It's been slow finding stuff around Winnipeg so far this summer. I've only picked up one really nice piece that I'll be putting a pic up of soon. It's a bright blue and deep cranberry color finger vase.

draft of revised 2012 reference "guide" delivered Empty coming along

Post  deborah Mon Jul 23, 2012 3:12 pm

Hi Bob,

Spent Thursday afternoon with my layout guy on the first draft. Amazing timing as on this past Monday, I had found a piece which I think will clear up the "Canada Art" question. It meant that I ripped apart 2 chapters so we could include the new info and some pictures. You can imagine how popular I wasLOL. Seriously - he took it well.

The book will be over 100 pages and will have between 200-300 pictures. I am very pleased. It is very difficult to layout to get a consistent look as some sections have a ton of pictures and text and others don't. This concerns my guy more than me. He wants it to look as good as "The Shapes & Colours" so is being very picky. I anticipate getting the second draft by week end and then hopefully we will be able to get printed for first edits etc.

Then we will do the "Indes" when the final pages set so information will be easily accessed. Thanks to you and other forum members for pictures, info and suggestions - will get out to you asap!
