a sample? a whim? end of day? Empty a sample? a whim? end of day?

Hi everyone,

Got a very kicky piece of Chalet in SW Ontario this week - a twist on the traditional "spike and curl". Great little piece. Not sure if it would have been an artist's sample, just a whim or done at the end of day. There seems to be lots of glass in all the curls so that the spike could have been done if the glass artist had wanted to finish it off in a typical way.

What do you think?
